RIP Mario Garbuglia
Production designer Mario Garbuglia died in Civitano Marche, Italy March 31, 2010 after a long illness. Garbuglia was one of the best production designers in the history of Italian and international cinema. He worked for such directors as Luchino, Visconti and Nikita Mikhalkovy. He received awards for the films “Notti bianche”, "La grande guerra" and “The Leopard”. He also received a Donatello Award for his work on “La vera storia della signore delle Camelie” Garbuglia was born on May 27, 1927 in Fontespina, Italy and began his career in 1950 on “Donne senza nome”, his last work was on 1994's “Troublemakers”. Mario Garbuglia was also the production manager on “Chino” (1973)
