Spaghetti Western Director ~ Franco Lattanzi

Franco Lattanzi was an Italian film director, editor, and writer known for his contributions to low-budget 1970s genre cinema, particularly spaghetti westerns and adventure films. Born in Rome in 1925, he began his career in the mid-1950s and directed a small number of productions across several decades.

His most notable works include “Il giustiziere di Dio” (1973), “Six Bounty Killers for a Massacre” (1973), and “Tiger from River Kwai” (1975), where he often handled multiple roles including editing and screenwriting. Earlier credits feature “Trocadero” (1955) and “Serenata d'amore” (1965). Lattanzi remained a relatively obscure figure in Italian exploitation filmmaking, with his output typically characterized by modest production values typical of the era's genre pictures.

He died in Rome on May 2, 2008, at the age of 83.

Spaghetti Western Screenwriter ~ Mike Douglas

Mike Douglas is another of the many enigmas in the Spaghetti western genre we know nothing about. He was a teleplay writer on the Italian western television series ‘Lo sceriffo della valle d’argento’ from 1963 to 1976 and co-wrote the screenplay for the film based on this TV series “Okay sceriffo” (Okay Sheriff) with Ignatius Colnigee and Angio Zane.

Was Mike Douglas his real name or was it an alias? I can find no biographical information on him to answer that question.

Mike Douglas was a co-writer on one Spaghetti western “Okay sceriffo” (Okay Sheriff) with Ignatius Colnigee and Angio Zane. Douglas also was a co-screenwriter on the 1963-1976 TV series “Lo sceriffo della valle d’argento” with Ignatius Colnigee and Angio Zane.

Spaghetti Western Cinematographer ~ Aldo Pinelli

Aldo Pinelli is/was a cinematographer on three films between 1965 and 1967. Two of those films were Spaghetti westerns: “Pochi dollari per Django” (A Few Dollars for Django) in 1966 and “7 Winchester per un massacre” (Payment in Blood) in 1967.

I can find no biographical information on him.
