Eugene ‘Gene’ Brewster Earl was an American actor known for his supporting roles in feature films during the late 1970s and early 1980s, most notably appearing as the Sheriff in the comedy “Stir Crazy” (1980).

Born on October 28, 1928 in Pecos, Texas and passing away in Glendale, Arizona on June 1, 1984 at the age of 55, Earl's career primarily consisted of character parts in a few Hollywood productions, with his work in “Stir Crazy” standing as his most recognized contribution to cinema. His limited but documented screen appearances (4) reflect the era's supporting cast in major studio comedies and dramas.

Gene died in Glendale, Arizona on June 1, 1984 at the age of 55.

Gene Earl appeared in one Euro-western, “Un autre homme, une autre chance” (Another Man, Another Chance) as Sheriff Borden in 1977.
