[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Carlos East was a Mexican actor known for his extensive work in film and television, spanning genres such as horror, action, adventure, and exploitation cinema from the late 1960s until the mid-1990s. He gained recognition for roles in several notable productions, including the drama The Big Cube (1968) alongside Lana Turner, the horror film Isle of the Snake People (1971) featuring Boris Karloff, and the biblical television movie The Nativity (1986). Occasionally credited as Charles East in English-language or co-production contexts, he appeared in numerous Mexican feature films as well as occasional international projects and television series.

Born on September 22, 1942, in Orizaba, Veracruz, Mexico, East built a prolific career primarily within the Mexican film industry, contributing to a wide array of low-budget and direct-to-video titles during the 1980s and 1990s, while also taking part in stage and television work. He was married to Analia Elizalde Jiménez until his death and was the father of actors Carlos East Jr. and Ernesto East. East died on October 11, 1994, in Mexico City, Mexico, due to laryngeal cancer.
