Ingolf David was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on October 2, 1926, the son of actor Arne-Ole David and actress Ingeborg Schleiss David. Throughout his career, he performed at many theatres, including Aveny Theatre, Alléscenen, Gladsaxe Theatre, Odense Theatre and Fiolteatret. He was director of the latter theatre from 1965 to 1966.
Ingolf appeared in 109 films and television appearances between 1954 and 1997. He was known for his roles in the films “In the Green of the Woods” (1968), “The Imprudent Lover” (1982), and “Ofelia Kommer til byen” (1985).
Ingolf David was married three times had two daughters. He died in Gentofte, Denmark on December 26, 1996, at the age of 70.
David appeared in one Euro-western and that was in “Guld til praeriens skrappe drenge” (Gold for the Tough Guys of the Prairie) in 1971 as an Indian.
