Lee Van Cleef spent his free weekend from current
fantasy action western “Gundown at High Noon” for a quick return visit to the
Venice Fest, accompanied by producers Henry Chorscicki and Ettore
Rosboch. This actor has parlayed his hobby as a ballad singer into a first
LP for the Oak label to be released next month. Ballads include new tunes by Marty
Robbins, a Johnny Cash item and two written for Van Cleef –
“Gunfighter at Crego Side” and “Lincoln County War.” Next May, Van Cleef
appears in Dino De Laurenttis’ “Concert in B Tough” from a script by Luciano Vincenzoni.
“Gundown at High Noon” became “The Grand Duel” and “Concert
in B Tough” turned into "Three Tough Guys" with Isaac Hayes &
Lino Ventura
