Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ Monika Brugger

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]


 Monica Brugger was born Monica Braucher in Munich, Germany most likely in 1944. Monika started as a beauty queen. She was the Miss Germany contestant and a semi-finalist at the 4th Miss International pageant in Long Beach, California, U.S.A. in 1963. winning the 1964 Miss Mannequin beauty contest in Munich and was Miss Nasau in 1965. This brought her to the attention of film makers where she began her film career in Italy, starring in Spaghetti westerns and also appeared briefly on German TV. Around this time, she caught the attention of legendary glamour photographer, Bruno Bernard aka Bernard of Hollywood. In 1967 she appeared in a bikini on the cover of Belgian magazine Ciné Revue.

What has become of her is unknown.

Monika appeared in two 1967 Spaghetti westerns: “Wanted Johnny Texas” starring Willy Colombini in the role of Lucia Cansino and “Buckaroo” (A Winchester Does Not Forgive) starring Dean Reed as Annie Christy McKenzie.
