Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ Hendrik Bronsgeest

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Hendrik Bronsgeest was born Hendricus Johannes Bronsgeest on January 31, 1894, in The Hague and was a German singer and film actor. A baritone singer, he was the brother of the more famous baritone Cornellis Bronsgeest (Cornelis Johannes Bronsgeest) [1878–1957] and baritone Koos Bronsgeest [1886-1964]. They were the sons of freight forwarder Dirk Bronsgeest [1853-1939] and Helena Cornelia Thijssens [1854-1927]. This is the only biographical information on him.

Henrdik appeared in only one film and that was the 1936 western “Der Kaiser von Kalifornien” (The Emperor of California).

Hendrik Bronsgeest died in Katwijk, The Netherlands on March 14, 1963. He was 69 years old.
