Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ Adriana Bruno

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]


 Adriano Bruno was an Italian character actress who was probably born in the late 1930s. Her acting career began in the late 1960s and she can be seen in an uncredited appearance as a member of the audience in 1967’s “”. She was often seen in Italian police and crime films where she often played nuns, maids, prostitutes or angry women in crowds. Her last known role, after 125 films was a a wedding guest in 1982’s “Yes, Giorgio”.

Adriana appeared in nine Spaghetti westerns: “Testa t’ammazzo, croce... sei morto... Mi chimavano Alleluja” (Guns for Dollars) in 1967 where she played a villager; “Un esercito di 5 uomini” (5-Man Army) appears as a woman at the execution; “In nome del padre, del figlio e della Colt” (In the Name of the Father, the Son and the Colt) in 1971 as a Halloween party guest; “Spirito Santo e le 5 magnifiche canaglie” (Gunmen and the Holy Ghost) in 1972 as a townswoman; “Sette monache a Kansas City” (Seven Nuns in Kansas City) in 1973 as a nun; “Tutti per uno... botte per tutti” (The Three Musketeers of the West) in 1973 as a circus employee; “La tigre venuta dal fiume Kwai” (The Tiger from the River Kwai) in 1975 as a Chinese restaurant patron; “Noi non siamo angeli” (We are No Angels) in 1975 as a townswoman and “Gli fumavano le colt…lo chiamavano Camposanto” (Bullet for a Stranger) in 1981 as McIntire’s maid.

She was still living in 2010 as she was an executive producer on the Italian short film “Il giardino della Speranza”.
