Surgery

I’ll be going in for bypass surgery at 5 a.m. January 24, 2022. I want to thank everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers. My son Mike will keep you posted on Facebook as to how the surgery and hopefully the recovery goes. He’ll post as he gets updates but they’ll probably be few and far between. They told me to expect a 4-7 day stay after surgery. I'll se ya when I see ya.

RIP Hartmut Becker

Hartmut Beckerdied in Berlin Germany on January 22, 2022. Born on May 6, 1938, he was a German actor. He played Sgt. Gustav Wagner (1911–1980) in Escape From Sobibor in 1987. He also starred in the 1970 film o.k, which was also entered into the 20th Berlin International Film Festival. However, the competition was cancelled and no prizes were awarded, over controversy surrounding the film. After O.K. Hartmut Becker was one of Germany’s busiest actors in film and theatre (at the State Theatres of Munich and Berlin he performed leading characters in plays from Shakespeare to Tennessee Williams). More important main parts in films followed like in Verhoeven's He Who Loves in a Glass House (International Film Festival Berlin 1971), When Mother Went on Strike, John Ralling (TV), MitGift [de], Audienz (TV), Sonntagskinder. Becker appeared in one Euro-western, 2004's "Die Unvergessenen" as Goran.

Who Are Those Singers & Musicians ~ William Anthony

Little is known or can be found on William Anthony. Apparently, he was born Guillermo Antonio and was both an actor and singer who was credited under the aliases William Anthon, William Anthony, Guillemo Anton, Guillermo Anton and William Anton. He is married to singer Helena Bianco (Elena Vázquez Minguela) and was a member of the singing group ‘Los Mismos’.

As William Anthony he starred in and sang the main theme song for 1980’s “Chicano”.
