This comic book was based on the American actor Tom Mix
and his western adventures. It was published by A.R.C. in Milan and the series
contained 89 issues from April 4, 1947 to December 30, 1948. The stories were
writtern by Gian Giacomo Dalmasso. It was drawn by Lina Buffolente (Nos 61/62,
64, 67/74 and 78/89), Giuseppe Cappadonia (Nos 8 and 11), Lino Jeva (Nos. 14,
17, 20, 22, 27/29), Enzo Magni (Ingam) (nn 1/7, 9/10, 12/13, 15, 33/49, 52,
54/55, 57, 65/66), Benedetto Resio (nn 16, 19, 23, 25/26 and 30), Carlo Savi
(nn. 18, 21, 31/32, 50/51, 53, 56, 58/60, 63, 75/77). I nn. 1/8 report all the
same date (April 24, 1947). The comic episode begins in front of the cover. In the
appendix, the tales show illustrated by Gino Vigotti and Rinaldo D'Ami. In the
last issue, the protagonist, TOM MIX, is killed, but is "resumed" in
the first issue of TOM BILL (ARC, 1949), an ideal sequel to the series.
