A journey through the literary landscapes of Karl May’s novels leads to the great deserts, forests and mountains of the American Southwest - from the Rio Pecos, where the Winnetou Pueblo was, to the Mescalero Apache reservation and on to Mount Graham, and finally to the legendary "Mount Winnetou" of the Karl May universe. The adventures of Winnetou are wherever you go. With Joachim Giel and Jutta Stostak the audience goes on a journey to the places the fictional Winnetou lived. Here you will discover many things that deal with the Indians today: Financial problems of the reservation, culture and religion. A beautiful mix of reality and the movies, about the descendants of the legendary Winnetou character.
