Carole André Smith was born in Paris, France on March 11,
1953. Carole is the daughter of actress Gaby André [1920-1972]. As Carol Andre
she appeared in more than 30 films and television appearances between 1967 and
1991, appearing in her first film at the age of 13 and working under such
directors as Visconti and Dino Risi. Her parts were typical ingénue roles in
which she was used for window dressing. Her most famous role was as Pearl of
Labuan in the 1976 TV version of “Sandokan” Carol appeared in four
Euro-westerns “Death Rides a Alone” and “Face to Face” (both 1967), “Another
Try, Eh Providence” and “White Fang” (both 1973). She quit acting and attended
Harvard Business School in the United States then opened a public relations
agency in Rome. Carole Andre Smith is now the International Marketing Adviser
at Cinecitta Studio. Today we celebrate Carol Andre’s 60th birthday.

We wrote to each other few times and later on she moved to Roma in Italy.
