Remembering Adriana Facchetti
Adriana Facchetti was born on January 6, 2011 in Desenzano del Garda, Lombardy, Italy. She had the perfect facial features to play stong women and authoritarian figures. When she grew older she was used as old maids, teachers, ugly sisters and smaller character parts. She first appeared in theater roles in the late 1930s and then made over 50 film and TV appearances. Among her many films were three Euro-westerns: “Payment in Blood” (1967) with Guy Madison, “Beyond the Law” (1968) with Lee Van Cleef and “The Return of Halleluja” (1972) with George Hilton. She then was seen on the Italian TV series “O Samba” in 1988. Adriana passed away on Ocotber 6, 1993 in Rome, Italy. Today we remember Adriana Facchetti on what would have been her 90th birthday.
