Spaghetti Western Locations Then and Now – “White Rocks”

In the opening scene of “For a Few Dollars More” we see “The Man With No Name” walking his horse through a deserted street. The clearly visible sign tells the viewer the name of the town is White Rocks. After his gunfight with Red ‘Baby’ Cavanaugh and three of his henchmen. The stranger collects the bounties and rides out of town after telling three of the citizens they need a new sheriff.

This memorable scene was filmed at Colmenar viejo outside of Madrid. This once often used town set is now part of a cow pasture with half of the main street located on a Spanish military base.
