Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ Otto Ambros

 [These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Otto Ambros was born in Klosterneuburg, Austria-Hungary on May 15, 1910. He was an actor and director, known for “Wiener Schnitzel” (1967), “Vor Jungfrauen wird gewarnt” (1961) and “Tom Sawyers und Huckleberry Finns Abenteuer” (1968). He died on 21 February 1979 in Vienna, Austria. He appeared in almost 50 films as an actor from 1935 until 1978. He also directed six films and wrote screenplays for two films.

Ambros died in Vienna Austria on February 21, 1979. He was 68 years old.

  1. The photo above is from "The Leatherstocking Tales", a popular show on BBC at the time. In the episode, "Hawkeye And His Mohicans", Otto Ambros plays General Munro, a British Army officer. Looks more like George Washington on acid.
