Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ John Alvar

 [These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

John Hernandez Monreal was born on February 11, 1938. He had a short ten film acting career from 1963 to 1970. He appeared in several U.S. television series during this time such as ‘The FBI’ in 1965, ‘The Green Hornet’, ‘Tarzan’ and Daniel Boone’ all in 1966. He then went to Italy in 1970 and appeared in his only Spaghetti western “Django Defies Sartana” in the role of Steve.

Today he lives in Tucson, Arizona with his wife. Maria. The couple have three children.

  1. He doesn't look all too familiar to me. And it's a shame that he only did one Spaghetti Western. With a face like that, he could have done a lot more. Maybe he was afraid of being typecast. Doesn't surprise me.
