Elvira Cortese was bon in Rome, Italy on August 13, 1910. She was the daughter of the Neapolitan impresario and journalist Luca Cortese and Donna Beatrice Arena, she was the sister of the actor and director Leonardo Cortese, one of the most popular actors of the 1940s.
Elvira was an actress of cinema, theater and television. She appeared in the film “Via Margutta” (1960), directed by Mario Camerini, Cortese draws a tasty portrait of a rich buttery and amused German tourist, grappling with the attentions of young painters / Latin-lover who in the famous street of the artists they live their bohème.
