Today is the 50th Anniversary of the premier
of “…dai nemici guardo io!” (Three
Silver Dollars). On his deathbed, a Confederate major gives Alan Burton one of
three special dollars that will allow the owner to put his hands on the
treasure of the Confederacy. Aided by Hondo, a young Mexican who has been
helpful to him on several occasions, Alan manages to get hold of another of the
three dollars by wiping out Condor and his gang. At this point Hondo, who has
for a long time had in his possession of the third dollar, tries to kill Alan,
but the bullet, shot at Allan's heart, strikes one of the dollars that he has
kept in his pocket. His life is saved, but the bullet destroys some figures
engraved on one side of the coin, in which was placed the key to the location
of the treasure. The search now becomes futile.
