Machine guns were the ultimate weapon found in several
Euro-westerns during the 1960s and 1970’s. Who influenced who is the question
of the day. Above we see Jean-Paul
Belmondo, Ursula Andress using such a device in the 1965 film “Up to His Ears”.
In 1968 we see the same gun used to great effect by
Franco Nero in 1968’s “The Mercenary”. Did Sergio Corbucci see the prior film
and was he influenced by the use of the machine gun? It sure seems like it
doesn’t it.
