German producer, director, writer, cinematographer,
composer, actor Ulli Lummel died December 1st of heart failure. He
would have turned 73 on December 21st. Lommel has dozens of film
credits under his belt but will no doubt be best remembered by fans for his
wonderfully obscure 1980 film “The Boogey Man”. Ulli worked just about up to
the day he passed and leaves behind a myriad of projects for interested fans to
look into. He was the voice of Predrag Ceramilac in 1963’s “Flaming Frontier”
and produced and played the part of Frank Nicholson in Werner Fassbinder’s 1971
Euro-western “Whity”
