Canadian actor of stage, film, TV and radio, John Dunn-Hill
has died in Montreal, Canada. John was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1936 and left
home at fifteen to study culinary arts, and spent his early years working as a
chef on naval and cruise ships. But he had a passion for theatre, and soon left
the kitchen for the stage. He arrived in Canada in the mid-1970s where he was
known for playing Marco D'Ascola in the Radio-Canada series Omertà. John appeared as O’Malley in the 1995 Euro-TV
series ‘Legends of the North’ and as Slim Hancock in 1999’s “Grey Owl”.
