After boldly penetrating the lair of the gang of Pedro,
where he punishes two bandits who have stolen his horse, the gunslinger Dakota
Joe shows up at Don Carlos’, a wealthy landowner for whom he has been hired to
kill Dr. Garcia Gomez. Before executing the crime, Joe finds out that Don
Carlos terrorizes the region and that Dr. Garcia is a supporter of the
revolution headed by Emiliano Zapata. Meanwhile Gratian the brother of Don
Carlos, will benefit from the assassination to the detriment of Pablo and
Carmencita, a young peon couple that Dakota Joe has met and made friends with.
Given the situation Dakota Joe takes the side of the rebels and kills Grazian
but is captured by the henchmen of Don Carlos. Freed with the help of former
bandit Pedro, the rich landowner puts up a huge reward for Dakota. But Pedro,
attracted by the money, runs away with it and Joe retrieves the money only to
deliver it to his revolutionary friends.

Dakota Joe sounds more like a comic book series than it does a Spaghetti Western. It even has those elements. Kind of artsy but still entertaining.
