Spaghetti Western Locations Then and Now – “A Pistol for Ringo”

In one of the opening scenes of 1965’s “A Pistol for Ringo” we see a young cowboy playing hopscotch with three small boys as group of gunmen approach. He asks the men if they are looking for Angel Face and then turns, pulls a pistol from his belt and shoots the four men before they have a chance to draw their weapons.

This scene was filmed in the small courtyard outside the church in Pozo de Los Frailes, Almeria, Spain.

Here’s the same location as seen in 2025. Modernized a bit but still recognizable as the same location.
