And the Westerns keep coming. Silvia Solar continues appearing among cowboys and saloons.
You must be a regular in every Western filmed in Colmenar.
Not every single one. Don't exaggerate. I've only done five, although I admit, of course, that five in less than a year is a lot of Westerns. They call me, I suppose, because I'm more the ideal type for the characters in those films.
What other roles do you see yourself in?
I'm getting a bit tired of those awful movies. I'd really love to do a comedy. I can say that I still haven't found my ideal role.
Is it just bad luck, or perhaps ot yopu’re not very demanding?
I can't blame bad luck because I'm constantly working, and of course, if I don't like a script, I don't do it.
Are you more concerned about the script or the director?
Both. The real mastermind is the director, and it's rare for a good director to agree to direct a bad script.
You're French, what did you do in your country?
I took courses at the Conservatory of Arts and worked in theater and television. I came to Spain to star in "Los clarines del miedo" (The Bugles of Fear). Love blossomed, I got married, we settled in Madrid, and I started getting film offers.
And there are…
Seventeen. As soon as I finish "El dedo en el
gatillo" (The Finger on the Trigger), I'll start my 18th with Elorrieta,
and, true to form, it will be another western.
