Little Known Spaghetti Western actors ~ Xavière De Leka

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Xavière Colonna de Leca was born in Ajaccio, Corsica on April 7, 1881. As Xavière de Leka she was a Boulevard theatre actress and performer of the Moulin Rouge. She played mainly at the Théâtre des Variétés and the Théâtre des Capucines in Paris during the Belle Époque.

Xavière appeared in only three films that I can find record of and all were in 1912.

She died after a long illness and just after surgery in a private hospital on April 5, 1914, in Paris just two days before her 33rd birthday.

Her only Euro-western appearance was in “Amore di Apache” (An Adventurer’s Love) in 1906.

De LEKA, Xavière (Xavière Colonna de Leca) [4/7/1881, Ajaccio, Corsica – 4/5/1914, Paris, Île-de-France, France] – theater, film actress, dancer.
