Born Yvetta Roubalová on November 4, 1928, in Český Brod, Czech Republic. Yvette graduated from a business school in Prague and privately studied music theory and singing. She began her artistic career as an operetta singer (among others in the Karlín and Bratislava operettas, she sang with the orchestras of J. Procházka and Z. Barták). From 1960 she performed permanently with the orchestra Karel Vlach. In addition to concert performances, she also worked on television in the 1960s, recording a number of original songs (Já jsem zamilovaná, Romantická, Zexňte lanterns, duets with Milan Chladil About the Two of Us, Sentimental). Its popularity is evidenced by its occupancy of the top places in the Golden Nightingale poll in the 1960s. In total, she recorded over 500 songs.
She recorded under the name Yvette Simonová and sang two songs for the Czech film “Lemonade Joe” or “Horse Opera”. She is still artistically active to this day and still performs occasionally in public at the age of 96.
