The 'In Memoriam' Award of the 15th edition of the Almería Western Film Festival has paid tribute at MiniHollywood Oasys to the Italian actor Gian Maria Volonté, an essential figure of the European Western. The award has been collected by the village manager, José Maria Rodriguez and the mayor of Tabernas, José Diaz. During the act, the attendees have been able to watch an emotional video sent by Giovanna Gravina Volonté, the actor's daughter, who has wanted to be present from a distance.
As is tradition, the festival has invited attendees to head to the cemetery of the village MiniHollywood Oasys, where the symbolic burial ritual has been held, which already shares space with other cinema legends such as Sergio Leone, Ennio Morricone, Carlo Simi, Tomás Milian, Bud Spencer or Sergio Sollima. And all of it, with live music from Victor Colomer's Dollar Trilogy.
