Dakar was born Alejandro Barrera in Cuzco, Peru on July 9, 1921. A professional wrestler who fought in Argentina and participated in the ‘Titanes en el ring’ tournament. In his spare time he was a talented musician. As Dakar he appeared in some thirty films and television appearances from 1964-1982. He died of acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on September 14, 2004, in Rome, Italy.
He played the role of Fargo’s (Riccardo Garrone) bodyguard in the 1969 Spaghetti western “No Room to Die” which starred Anthony Steffen and William Berger.
