Little Known European Spaghetti Western Actors ~ Mariano Alcon

These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be gven and anything that you can add would be appreciated.

Mariano Alcón was the stage name for Mariano Alcón Carrasco who was born in Spain on March 12, 1893. Like most actors of that era he most likely began acting on stage and then moved into films. The first film credit I can find for him is in 1942s “Fortunato” where he plays the role of Sabatino. By then he was already in his late 40s. Mariano went on to appear in 37 films ending with his his only Eur-western “The Last Tomahawk” (1964) starring Joachim Fuchsberger, Karin Dor and Daniel Martin. Here he is billed as Marino Alcon in the role of an Indian chief. He appeared in another film entitled ‘Una de indios’ called “Tres eran tres” (Three Were Three) that contained a western segment back in 1954. I can find no death date, but he must have passed on some time ago. I do not have any information on what happened to him.
