RIP Louis Velle

 

Veteran French actor, director, writer and comedian Louis Velle died at his home in Paris, Île-de-France, France on February 2, 2023. He was 96. He was a leading actor in the1960s and 1970a and wrote several television soap operas. Born in Saint-Leu-la-Forêt on May 29, 1926, he made his film debut in the 1950s with Maurice Chevalier. He also appeared in over 25, theater plays where he also was a playwright. Velle appeared in two Euro-westerns: “Frontier Hellcat” (1964) as Gordon and in the 1986 short film “Bitumes”.
