Veteran Italian actor, voice actor and dubber Dario Penne
died in Rome, Italy 2 days before his 85th birthday. Born in Trieste,
Italy he Penne was one of the most famous actors and dubbers in Italy. The voice
actor who gave voices in the Italian versions of films to such great stars as
Anthony Hopkins, Michael Caine, Christopher Lloyd, Tommy Lee Jones, James
Cromwell and many others has passed away. Penne also became famous in the field
of animation where he was the voice of the bizarre robot Bender in the famous
animated series ‘Futurama’. His voice remains associated with many
unforgettable characters. Dario was the Italian voice in many Spaghetti
westerns over the years.
