Albo Furore (The Masked Man - Mandrake - Cisco Kid – Jungle Jim)
This comic book series was a collection four famous American characters: ‘The Masked Man’ (The Phantom) by Lee Falk and Wilson McCoy, ‘Mandrake’ by Lee Falk and Phil Davis, ‘The Cisco Kid’ by José Luis Salinas and ‘Jungle Jim’ by Paul Norris. These characters are joined by ‘Johnny Hazard’ by Frank Robbins beginning with issue #8 and ‘The Lone Ranger’ by Charles Flanders in #20. Between one episode and another, sof-contained Sunday scripts by ‘Michelacco’ (Peter the Tramp) by C.D. Russell and ‘Hubert’ by Wingert. Characteristic of the covers up to #16, created by Antonio Scotti, is the group representation of the four main characters set against a yellow background, the last four numbers each show the indication and image only one of the four characters and precisely #17 ‘The Masked Man’, #18 ‘Mandrake’, #19 ‘The Cisco Kid’ and #20 ‘Jungle Jim’. Images were drawn by Antonio Farina, Sergio Morello, and the editorial staff.
The first issue was published in 1953 by Aurelia Editions in Rome, Italy under the direction of Sergio Roscani, with issue #1 being released on January 10th and ending with #20 on February 28, 1954. They were released weekly with each issue containing 28-32 black and white pages with color covers.
