David Mitchell was born on November 17, 1941 in Christchurch, New Zealand. After studying acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, he made his film debut in "Wolfshead: The Legend of Robin Hood" (1969). During the 1970s he became a popular European star in low-budget action pictures made in Italy, England and the U.S.A. Some of his more memorable films were "The Beyond" (1981), "L’isola del tesoro" (1987). David was on the short list to be the third James Bond in "Live and Let Die" but Roger Moore was selected for the role. Warbeck made two Euro-westerns "Arizona Road" (1990) was one, but he is best remembered as James Coburns’ friend and rival in "Duck You Sucker" (1971). Warbeck’s last appearance was in 1997's "Razor Blade Smile". He died of cancer on July 23, 1997 in London at the age of 55. A great actor...The Beyond is one of the best Fulci's films,also due to the Warbeck's strong acting !

I enjoyed being in theatre with David in the early 1960s in Hamilton, New Zealand. He was an enthusiast for his art, a charismatic man with immeasurable talent. He said goodbye to me In Rotorua one day in 1965 asnd said he wouldn't see me again. Sadly, he was right. It would have been nice to catch up with him.
