Little Known Spaghetti Western actors ~ Mario De Barros

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Mario De Barros is a Spanish stunt coordinator, stuntman and actor. He appeared in eighteen as an actor and performed stunts in five films all between 1956 and 1987. Mario doubled Lex Barker in the two Karl May films mentioned below.

De Barros has appeared in twelve Spaghetti westerns: “Los pistoleros de Casa Grande” (Gunfighters of Casa Grande) in 1963 as Rio, “Die Pyramide des Sonnengottes” (Pyramid of the Sun God) in 1964 performing stunts, “Die Hölle von Manitoba” (A Place Called Glory) as a Vallone henchman, “Der Schatz der Azteken” (The Treasure of the Aztecs) performing stunts both in 1965, “El valle Gwangi” (The Valley of Gwangi) in 1968 as Ben, “La marca de Cain” (The Desperados!) as a bandit, “Bruciatelo vivo!” (Land Raiders) as an Apache both in 1969, “¡Que viene Valdez!” (Valdez is Coming) in 1970 as a Tanner henchman, “Soleil rouge” (Red Sun) in 1971 as Marc, “Il richiamo del lupo” (The Great Adventure) as a Bates henchman, “La dove non batte il sole” (The Stranger and the Gunfighter) as a Deacon henchman both in 1974 and as a Flores deputy in “Pelo Amarillo y Pecos Kid” (Yellow Hair and the Fortress of Gold) in 1984.
