50th Anniversary of the premier of “The Tiger from the River Kwai”

Today marks the 50^th anniversary of the premier of “La tigre venuta dal fiume Kwai” directed by Franco Lattanzi and starring Krung Srivilai, George Eastman and Gordon Mitchell. It tells the story of an undercover agent from Thailand named Tiger (Krung Srivali) is asked to bring the ashes of a deceased person to the man's relatives in the Far West. He also brings a valuable souvenir with him, and when the local villains get wind of it, they plan to rob the poor Thai. Unfortunately for them, they hadn't reckoned with his martial arts skills. Furthermore, the Asian has found a friend in a Chinese restaurant owner Won Lon (KamWong Lung), also from the Far East who knows how to use martial arts. The local sheriff named Sam (George Eastman) is of little help so together the two Asians defeat Jack Mason (Gordon Mitchell) and his henchmen.
