Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ David Arquette

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

David Arquette was born on September 8, 1971, in Winchester, Virgina. He is an American actor and former professional wrestler. He is best known for his role as Dewey Riley in the slasher film franchise “Scream”, for which he won a Teen Choice Award and two Blockbuster Entertainment Awards. As a professional wrestler, he is best remembered for his widely panned 2000 stint in World Championship Wrestling (WCW), where he won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and headlined the Slamboree pay-per-view event; he would later receive praise for his work on the independent wrestling circuit.

A member of the Arquette acting family, he first became known during the mid-1990s after starring in several Hollywood films aside from the “Scream” franchise, such as “Wild Bill”, “Never Been Kissed”, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, “See Spot Run” and “Eight Legged Freaks”. He has since had several television roles, such as Jason Ventress on ABC's ‘In Case of Emergency’. Arquette has also voiced Skully on the Disney Channel animated series ‘Jake and the Never Land Pirates’, and executive produced the game show ‘Celebrity Name Game’, for which he received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination.

Arquette’s only Euro-western was as Private Cleaves in 1999’s “Ravenous”.

  1. David Arquette was the husband of none other than "Monica" from "Friends", Courtney Cox. He was also in the 2015 Gothic Western, "Bone Tomahawk" with Kurt Russell where he played Purvis. But if I could recommend a movie of his to actually see it would be "Dead Man's Walk" with him, Jonny Lee Miller, and Keith Carradine along with Tim Blake Nelson.
