Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ Tony Askin

Tony Askin was an alias for Italian actor Antonio Aschi. He was a production manager, assistant director and film actor. He appeared in 23 films from 1970 to 1990 under several different names such as Tonino Aschi, Tony Askins, Tony Puschin, Tony Puskyn. He was also a production manager on two film and an assistant director on one. Later Tony became an acting agent and ran his own agency.

Askin worked as an assistant director and production manager. He was born Tonino Aschi in 1940 in Morocco and was also known by his professional pseudonym, Tony Puschin, he was active in the Italian film industry during the 1970s and 1980s. He worked both as an actor, for instance, appearing in the well-known film “Il tassinaro” (1983), directed by Alberto Sordi, and behind the scenes as a production secretary and assistant director. Those who knew him, he was affectionately referred to as "il Marocchino" ("the Moroccan") or "il cugino pittore" ("the painter cousin"). Tony appeared in three Spaghetti westerns: “C’e Sartana... vendi la pistola e comprati la barer!" (Fistful of Lead) as Emiliano henchman, “Una novola di polvere... un grido di morte... arriva Sartana" (Gunman in Town) as a deputy both in 1970 and “Lo chiamavano Verità" (They Call Him Veritas) in 1972.
