Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ Jesús Aristu

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Jesús María Aristu Mondragón was born in Pamplona, Navarre, Spain in 1935. He is the older brother of actor José Miguel Ariza (Miguel Angel Aristu Mondragón) [1943-2018]. One of 12 children, he was a theater, film and television actor who appeared in nearly 20 films in a ten-year career from 1960 to 1970. He was married to actress Marcella Yurfa.

I can find no further information on either except from the Spanish voice actor site eldoblaje which doesn’t show that Jesús has passed on.

Aristu appeared in two Spaghetti westerns:” A Bullet for Sandoval” in 1969 as Pablo and as a stagecoach passenger in 1970’s “Santana Kills Them All” starring Gianni Garko.

  1. Tom, I think you meant to say that Jesus Aristu is the OLDER brother of Jose Miguel Ariza since Jesus was born in 1935 and Jose was born in 1943. But hey, no hard feelings. We all make mistakes. It's not your fault you got it wrong. Just had a brain fart is all. Tell Jay Jennings I said hello.
