Italian born, Spanish actress Lucia Bosé died in Madrid, Spain
on March 23, 2020 from pneumonia brought on by the coronavirus epidemic. She was 89. Born in Milan, Italy
on January 28, 1931 she won the 1947 Miss Italy and then focused on a cinema
career where she worked with such diverse directors as Luis Buñuel, Jean
Cocteau and Federico Fellini. She appeared in several films until “Muerte de un
ciclista” when she fell in love and married Spanish bullfighter Luis Miguel
Dominguín and moved to Spain to raise a family which consisted of singer
Miguel, fashion designer Paola and another daughter Lucia. She was the
grandmother of singer Bimba (Eleonora Salvatore González) who died in 2017 at the age of 41. She
appeared in only one Euro-western 1968’s “Night of the Serpent” with Luke
Askew.
