Vittorio
Cecchi Gori, definitively sentenced last Thursday for the crash of the film
production house Safin and recipient of an imprisonment order to serve 8 years
and 5 months of imprisonment, He’s hospitalized at the Gemelli
Hospital in Rome, where he is stuck.
The
hospitalization, according to what has been learned, dates back to the day of
the sentence. Cecchi Gori is expected to stay in the hospital at least
until Monday.
The
Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit notified the ex-patron of Fiorentina of
an execution order for the prison issued by the Prosecutor General of the Court
of Appeal of Rome
for 8 years, 5 months and 26 days of imprisonment. Financial crimes are
contested in Cecchi Gori, including a fraudulent bankruptcy.
The
judges of the Supreme Court have declared inadmissible the appeal filed by the
defense of Cecchi Gori against the sentence issued in October 2018 by the Court
of Appeal of Rome with which, given the prescription of an indictment, the
penalty imposed on the first degree film producer (6 and a half
years). The Roman judges have also ordered a new examination before the
Court of Appeal of Rome,
to determine the duration of the accessory penalty against the former patron of
Fiorentina.
Vittorio has been the producer of many
films in the last 40 years that have made the history of Italian cinema.
