We continue our search for film locations for “The Big
Gundown”. Corbett wanders the prairie after Cuchillo’s horse has died and left
the lawman on foot. He comes across a pioneer family and tries to convince him
he needs a horse. Much of this scene was cut from the American release as they
were trying to show Corbett as a hard-nosed lawman while the original Italian
version made him more compassionate. Corbett knocks the man down, takes his
horse and rides of in pursuit of Cuchillo.
This scene was shot in the area of Sartenilla, Tabernas,
Spain.
