Mario Valgoi
was born on August 6, 1939 in Milan, Lombardy, Italy. Trained at the Academy of
Dramatic Art Silvio D'Amico in Rome, he worked with some of the greatest
Italian directors, including Franco Zeffirelli, Orazio Costa, Giorgio Strehler,
and for many years he played at the Teatro Stabile del Veneto.
He appeared
in many roles in both film and television, where one of his most famous was
“The Italian Job” (1969) with Michael Caine.
Valgoi
appeared in only two Euro-westerns: “A Man Called Sledge” (1970) as Beetle and
“The Genius” (1975) with Terence Hill as Thomas Trader.
His last performance
was in the film “Prima di andar via” (2004).
Mario died on
July 18, 2005 in Feltre, Veneto, Belluno, Italy at the age of 65.

remember Mario Valgoi on what would have been his 75th birthday.
