
Bolzoni entered the cinema industry in 1948, collaborating on the screenplay of the adventure film “I contrabbandieri del mare”, directed by Roberto Bianchi Montero; later he was a prolific screenwriter, arousing some fame with fifteen successful spaghetti westerns and poliziotteschi. He was also an occasional director of films and documentaries and an essayist.
Bolzoni was a screenwriter on over a dozen Euro-westerns. He share writing credits on “Fistful of Dollars” (1964) and also wrote screenplays for “Minnesota Clay” (1964), “My Name is Pecos”, “Ringo and His Golden Pistol” (both 1966), “The Mercenary” (1968), “Sonny & Jed” (1972) and “Silver Saddle” (1977).
He died in Rome, Italy sometime in 2005.
