Vladimir Leib was born on April 8, 1913
in Vrbanja, Croatia. He was one of many Yugoslavian character actors who
appeared in the Karl May films during the 1960s. Leib’s four decade career
began with his appearance in the 1954 film “Koncert” and he would go on to
appear in over 25 films ending with his final appearance in 1986 TV series “Putovanje
u Vucjak”. Vladimir appeared in four Euro-westerns: “Rampage at Apache Wells”
(1965), “Geronimo und die Rauber” a 1966 TV film, “The Half-Breed” (1966), and
“Winnetou and Shatterhand in the Valley of Death” (1968). Leib died on May 30,
1998 in Zagreb, Croatia. Today we remember Vladimit Leib on what would have
been his 100th birthday.
