Nazzareno Natale was born in Acquaro, Catanzaro,
Calabria, Italy on April 4, 1938. After his debut in the film “Sodom and
Gomorrah” (1962), he went to the Rome Experimental Center of Cinematography,
earning a diploma in 1965. Beginning in the mid-1960s, Nazzareno participated
in numerous films, often in character roles. He appeared in 12 Euro-westerns
from “Fistful of Dollars” (1964) to “Pancho Villa” (1972). Sometimes
incorrectly billed as Natale Nazzareno he continued acting after the genre
faded and later appeared in Terence Hill’s ‘Don Mateo’ TV series in 2000 and
“Gangs of New York” in 2002. In 2006 he contracted a fatal disease and died in
Italy on June 21, 2006. Today we remember Nazzareno Natale on what would have
been his 75th birthday.
