Story: Spring 1965. Actor Clint Eastwood arrives in
Madrid to begin work on the sequel to “A Fistful of Dollars”, titled “For a Few
Dollars More” in Spain. This Spanish-German-Italian co-production would go on
to become the most-watched film in Spanish cinema history for decades. Eastwood
had come to Spain during a break in filming for the American series he was
working on, partly to escape a personal issue. He barely spoke to anyone, save
for the assistant director and a friend of the set decorator—a merchant marine
who spoke English—who is the one to recount the behind-the-scenes details of
the story.
