Spaghetti Western Director ~ Amirhosein Jafari


 Born in Iran on March 21, 2005, Amirhossein Jafari, known as Amir Jafari is a director, editor and writer. He became famous for making short films adapted from comic books. He has been working since 2018. apart from filmmaking, he has a history of writing and criticizing movies, and at least more than 80 articles have been published by him. His artistic activity is not limited to directing, and his portfolio also includes painting and photography.

He produced his first fan film in 2018 and his first documentary in 2022. Before entering high school, he has been working on making fan films... His first fame and success came from “Lucky Luke: End of Legend” in 2022.

He has made films based on two defunct comic book companies: Quality Comics and Harvey Comics.

Amirhosein Jafari was director of three Euro-westerns: “فیلم فرعی ماجراهای بوشوگ: فرار دالتون ها” (The Adventures of Rantanplan: Escape of the Daltons) in 2021 and “فیلم لوک خوش شانس: پایان افسانه (نسخه موزیک ویدئو” (Lucky Luke: End of Legend) in 2022 and “زورو: شمشیر عدالت” (Zorro: Sword of Justice) in 2026.

Spaghetti Western Screenwriter ~ Ángel del Castillo

Ángel del Castillo is/was a Spanish writer he wrote screenplays for eighteen films between 1955 and 1976. He was sometimes credited under the alias Ángel Yagüe.

I can find no biographical information about him.

 Co-wrote one screenplay for a Spaghetti western, “Fuera de la ley” (Billy the Kid) with S. G. Monner and Bob Sirens.

Spaghetti Western cinematographer ~ Carlo Montuori

Carlo Montuori was an Italian director cameraman and cinematographer. He was born in Casacalenda, Molise, Italy on August 3, 1885. His father was a school principal and his mother an elementary school teacher. He had eleven brothers. At the age of twelve he moved to Milan, to the house of an uncle who was a painter and photographer and attended the Accademia of Brera. He directed one film, “The Grateful Dog” in 1907, was a cameraman on four films between 1925 and 1949 but most of his career was spent as a cinematographer where he worked on one hundred sixty-four films between 1907 and 1961.

His son Mario followed in his footsteps.

Carlo died in Rome on March 4, 1968, at the age of 82.

Carlo Montuori was a co-cinematographer on one Spaghetti western, “Il sogno di Zorro” (Dream od Zorro) with his son Mario Montuori in 1951.
