Giano Ton was the stage name of Giacomo Tosi who was born in Rome in 1945. He is a record producer and singer. He began his career as a singer recording some 45 rpm records between the late 1960s and early 1970s under the pseudonym Giano Ton, the best-selling of which was Amica mia (1969).
As a record producer he has dealt with various groups and artists, including Middle of the Road, Scialpi, Ivano Fossati, Gilda Giuliani, Ricchi e Poveri, Patty Pravo, Ivan Graziani and Rino Gaetano.
As Giano Ton he sang the main theme song for the 1970 Spaghetti western “Matalo”.
