Little Known Spaghetti Western actors ~ Franca De Stratis

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Francesca De Stratis appeared in six films and television appearances between 1971 and 1989. Worked mainly in the film industry as a voice dubber and director.

She began her career as a stage, television, radio and film actress, as well as a chorister. However, she was not particularly active in any of these professions, usually playing minor roles. From the mid-seventies she devoted herself almost exclusively to dubbing, and is remembered mainly for having given the voice to Lindsay Wagner, protagonist of the TV series ‘The Bionic Woman’ and the main series from which this spin-off, ‘The Six Million Dollar Man’, was based.

De Stradis was also the first voice of the character of Katherine Chancellor in the soap opera ‘Love Fever’ and also voiced some characters from telenovelas including the protagonist of ‘’The Return of Diana and the billionaire Stella Fraga Simpson in ‘Agua Viva’. Over the years she lent her voice to some anime characters, such as Countess Du Barry, antagonist of Lady Oscar. She retired from acting in the early nineties. in recent years she occasionally worked as a dubbing director.
